Southern Cross has partnered with the owners of Targa, Octagon, since the event's inception in 1992, capturing all the thrills and spills of the annual event. A production team of more than 20 was allocated to the project, chasing the cars around the state. The documentary was screened on Southern Cross Television on May 9 in the 5pm timeslot, delivering impressive ratings. Our attention now turns to pumping out a dual set of DVDs on the event, set for release in June 2010 and available from Octagon, 136 Davey Street, Hobart, phone 6221 8800.

Heart 107.3 is the number one station in southern Tasmania to reach people aged 25 - 54, with 23,000 listeners.

The research also highlights the average personal income of a Sea FM/ Heart listeners is $45,100 and that Sea FM and Heart 107.3 have a combined 'All People' listening audience of 57,000.

"Within minutes of hearing Lyn's story the phones lit up with offers of everything from hair straighteners for their three young girls, to a computer, clothes, beds, furniture, shoes and the list goes on," Dave Noonan said.

Mr Smith lost his job when Chickenfeed moved its Cambridge operations interstate and the couple, under financial strain, had to make the tough decision to cancel their home insurance policy. Todd and Lyn would like to pass on their thanks to everyone who donated items to assist them.
